Emptied Out

Worship, as usual, was awesome at Port Au Prince Fellowship. God was in the house and the Holy Spirit was moving. The message was about God pouring out his blessings on us so that we may empty them out on others. It was nearly a 2 hour service with a packed full house. This is Kate Hocquard with an update from the medical team! Today we traveled the nearly 2 hours to the hospital to set up for the surgeries which will start on Tuesday. We unpacked all the supplies and set up all the rooms and equipment. We will have three basic rooms: pre-op, surgery, and post-op. Tomorrow we will see the patients at the Three Angels building for pre-surgical consultations, and then on Tuesday we will start the actual surgeries! We are all so excited and blessed to be able to serve God in this way, and we pray that everything will go smoothly in the week to come!Megan Krause reporting on the VBS team update!!! Today we went back to Three Angel's to start unpacking supplies and figuring out what we had to organize. We made templates for all the crafts and got the Veggie Tales videos all worked out. Music practice and more preparations will happen tomorrow as the whole team is going to Three Angel's. We are all really excited to be able to have the VBS for the kids to learn about Christ through the Veggie Tales and through us.Adventure for the day . . . All of a sudden the lightening started and rain started pouring from the sky while the medical team was on their way back from Archaie. There is no real drainage system there, so the water makes its way down via the streets. As we were climbing a main road (Delmas) we looked out the rear window and it looked like we were driving in a river!! Then we turned down the steep hill to Three Angels to drop off Jack. We made it DOWN okay, but coming back up was another story! The driver had to reverse back down the road several times to get a running start and finally made it up. The van was full of cheers!! Thank you God for the push!
After dinner was a celebration of Christina's 18th birthday!!

Tomorrow is more preparation and I think we are all ready to just get started on all we have been preparing for. Please pray that God would be glorified, that HE is the center of all of this here. Everyone is healthy (praise God).

Greetings my friends!

I'm very jealous of your opportunity to worship yesterday! What awesome praise to God I experienced last October in Haiti and I know you had the same yesterday. Lynda...I got a facebook note from Esther yesterday! It only took a year...I guess God is teaching me patience...again. Thinking of you all and praying for your team as you share God's love. Wishing you much hydration! I love you! Lori Plante

Good Morning Family.
Thanks for the post; I look every half hour or so. How wonderful that you got to worship with PAPF -I've heard it's awesome. In my minds eye I can see all of you surrounded by smiling Haitian faces; wish I was there! I love you all. Trina
