It is funny how you end up with the perfect team! God has a perfect plan.
My name is Deb Lamberton and I am leading a medical team to Petion-ville Haiti on 5/7/10. This is my first solo trip and I am really excited. We had commissioning today at Messiah Lutheran Church. Following the service we meet at our house and the team went right to work. We have been blessed with so many donations it is unbelievable. Every one jumped into action and went through all of the medication and medical supplies.
Team members who were able to make it today were Sally Sloboda, Cynthia Kreil, Wilnic Georges, Linda Durfee, Joan McMahon, Lisa Guenther and Gale McGee. Extra Thanks goes to Duane Durfee, Brian Lamberton and Max- Gails, Haitian son for all of their help and muscles. We did miss Josephine Oblinger, Zac Talaga and Nancy George.
We will meet on Friday at 2:30 at Messiah Lutheran Church and head to the Detroit airport. Our plane takes us to Ft Lauderdale where we will stay the night. We will get up and arrive in Port Au Prince Haiti at 8:30 am Saturday Morning. This is when the fun begins. We plan on breaking into Vacation Bible School Saturday afternoon with the children from the neighborhood tent cities near Three Angels.
We will try to post everyday while we are gone for you to view our daily events. All will work out if there is electricity. We will try our best to posting pictures but the computers may run pretty slow. Please keep out team in your prayers as we prepare this week. Comfort our families especially for the new team members that they may feel that their love ones are safe. Keeping you posted-Deb.
