Preparations for July mission

Eight from the July mission team met tonight at Messiah Lutheran Church to prepare for the mission in July. Deb Lamberton, Jamie Lamberton, Megan Krause, Pat Swartz, Connie Messinger, Tom Messinger, Katie Varner, and myself met together to share some time together and to talk about the mission. Hansel, a young Haitian man living in Midland, shared about his country with our group.

Pat and Deb discuss the VBS portion of the trip while Connie and Tom finish up their paperwork. Conne has been awesome in procuring instrument we need and sterilizing equipment! We are so blessed to have her on the team. Deb is the co-leader for this mission.

This group will have several younger people, too. Here are three that were able to make it: Megan Krause, Jamie Lamberton, and Katie Varner. Thanks to Katie for preparing a devotion for the meeting tonight!

The end of the meeting. We look forward to getting back together when we get commissioned at Messiah and then go back to the farm to pack up supplies.

We are so excited about this trip that will be different from any other medical mission trip before! Thirteen of our 23 team members will be providing vacation Bible school for the orphanage kids and kids of the staff at Three Angels while the other ten will be traveling to a hospital about 1.5 hours away to provide some minor surgeries to some Haitians who wouldn't otherwise be able to afford these surgeries. God has been amazing in providing what we need in order to provide these services! We basically need to take EVERYTHING we might have to use.
There are still a few things that we don't have, but we are trusting that God will provide in His timing. Please keep these team members and this mission in your prayers!
